Yes, it is an extinguishing of life. So is murder, capital punishment by death, and suicide. Humans at various stages of their life are preventing from continuing to live.

I support abortion as a woman’s choice. I don't support the other forms of extinguishing life. I don't have conflicting feelings or guilt about my opinions.
