Wes, I think many people worn out by our political divide, their financial concerns, the looming threat of another world war, the current wars being fought now across the globe, and personal worries found joining in the eclipse excitement a welcome diversion. We all need relief from our problems even if only momentarily.

Here in the Boston area, it came and went without me noticing anything except a slight darkening of the sky for a few minutes. I was busy with my birds anyhow at the time.
