We who live in New England are not used to extreme heat, tropical downpours, and extended drought but all of these weather events are becoming our new normal.

Many houses in NE do not have central AC, instead rely on window units, drawn shades/curtains, and avoiding outdoor activities during peak sunshine.

This summer has been constant rain, we are drenched. Last summer we suffered through a drought that left us with dead plants and damaged trees. In both situations farmers and home gardeners have suffered losses.
