Thank you for your kind words. Ruby is a great communicator. Although Ruby does not have an extensive vocabulary as some famous African Greys (Einstein of TV/YouTube fame), she makes her wishes clear to me. If I had been able to devote more time to her in her younger years, her vocabulary would have developed beyond what it is today.

Ruby is also able to track time. She knows precisely when I should be ready to collect her for her daily dose of calcium. She asks me if I am ready for her as we approach 4:30 pm.

I wish more humans were aware of the intelligence and language of not only the creatures they live with but the wildlife beyond their doors.
