Recently I read Mark Kurlansky’s The Importance of Not Being Ernest: my life with the uninvited Hemingway. His life often intersected with Hemingway’s in interesting, sometimes funny, and finally sad discussing Hemingway’s suicide. Kurlansky made Hemingway more vivid and entertaining to me than other biographers I have read.
