My childhood home included my mom’s widowed mother. My dad’s mom lived a short walk away. Our two grandmothers were friends and we enjoyed the benefits of their company and wisdom. I am childless and used to be involved with my many nephews and nieces but as adults, they have all moved away. I miss them.
