If you are avoiding potassium you will need to use a small amount. I drink mostly herbal teas nowadays.
I eat carrots, broccoli, peas, and lots of cabbage (my favorite). I eat a lot of small green salads - all kinds of leafy greens with olive oil dressing. I eat very small servings of many high-potassium veggies -brussels sprouts, for example.
Yes, the white flour-based products are starchy but they help me stay within my potassium limits.
