I know Kansas very well. Horrific ice storms! Scary thunderstorms. Hide in the basement tornado broadcasts. Now I live in Massachusetts, North of Boston in a small city.

Back in the 80s I lived and worked in Overland Park, KS, as well as a hippie-type area in Kansas City Missouri, a short walk to the Plaza. I loved the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum, the historical forts, the food, and the wonderful people I met.

.I returned to Boston at the request of my aging maternal grandmother. It was hard to leave. My mom flew out and we and two cats drove back to Boston.
