I do a lot of writing in my mind. If I like it I capture the thought, idea, paragraph, or sentence on my phone and store it in my draft folder for continuing work when I have time or more thoughts on the subject. I do research some things and add notes or reminders to my drafts. When a draft starts to resemble a story, that is it has form, I transfer it to Medium for the real work of fleshing it out, editing, and asking someone to read it and provide feedback. Writing is my hobby, one of my retirement pleasures but one that does require effort.
