I cried reading this. I would never not be there to hold my baby, trying not to cry until the procedure was complete. It is hard, so hard to say goodby, but it is your obligation, your duty to reassure your pet, to be there.

Some places have allowed me to stay with the body of my pet, just the two of us, for a final private goodbye.
