I am one of the lucky ones, a long sloping driveway with, most days, a plastic wrapped newspaper waiting for me. Every morning, accompanied by a cat or two, a cup of coffee and toast, I relax on the couch to read the Boston Globe. If the paper does not appear, o have the option of logging into my IPad to read it.
As for kids reading? I do have faith in the lure of a good story. If my local library is any indication of the future of books and readers, all is well. I am a frequent visitor and I have never found the place devoid of people of all ages. The other day I stood in line behind a mom and kids returning a pile of books and the kids were eager to select more.
