I agree. Bypass surgery at 89 destroyed my mother-in-law’s life. The doctors saved her physical being but the vibrant, fun-loving, always-on-the-go woman was gone.

Her life became restricted -no driving, no arduous work, and that woman could do anything and do everything from painting her house to hauling garden supplies around her yard.

In retrospect, her family agreed, although upsetting, it would have been kinder to her to have let her heart end her life abruptly.
