Because I don't have records reflecting my name departures from my birth certificate, and being 83, I have decided not to pursue a REAL ID.

The time needed to rectify my name is not worth it to me. I might have if I were much younger and likely to want to fly somewhere.

If I must go to Florida for a funeral (my sister and her son live there), it will be by car with stops at relatives on both legs of the journey. If I die, she has a REAL ID and can fly here if she chooses.
