Any disease, including chronic ones, ( I have CKD stage 3) helps you focus on the important aspects and small pleasures life offers. For me, it's not material things like new clothes, a phone, or a trip.. It's my gardens, my pets, my hobbies and my friends. These items provide comfort, love, challenges, and pleasure.
