After cleaning up my basement puzzle room -my space for working on jigsaw puzzles, writing, or reading, I sat down to work on my latest puzzle. Suddenly, I had company. One of the ringneck doves flew in from the adjoining bird room, landed on my puzzle table, walked over to me to see what I was doing, perhaps hoping to steal a puzzle piece to decorate his nest, and then flew off. A brief moment of connection that made me smile.
