MY REDUCTIVE BIO
About Me
The figurine in the photo says it all ( minus her voluptuousness)
My generation is the Silent Generation (mid-1920s -mid-1940s). I am not silent. I am an opinionated older woman.
I’m out of bed before the sun rises.
As a child, I loved the time alone with my dad, while the rest of the household slept. Now, I spend my early morning feeding five cats (medicating one -thyroid disease), interacting with our macaw (he’s chatty), and then outside to watch the sunrise, fill the bird feeders, clean water dishes muddied by a raccoon while enjoying the chatter and songs of the predawn birds.
My entertainment is quiet and solitary.
Reading, primarily non-fiction books, the Boston Globe newspaper, magazines, Apple News (iPad/iPhone), and Medium provide my entertainment. My books are borrowed from the library and only purchased if I stumble across one on my mental want-to-read list and it’s not at my library. My reading style is several books concurrently.
What about TV?
Aside from the early morning local news, none. Crossword and jigsaw puzzles provide mental stimulation and immense satisfaction; they are quiet activities and I crave silence.
