A youngish, white woman with a boyish haircut, and Harris stickers on her car was verbally attacked at a McDonald’s in my state. She was called a lesbian among other slurs. She was shocked.

My niece who is gay is surrounded by Trumpers on her street. Will they verbally attack her now? Or worse? She is strong but meanness wears you down.

My closest neighbors, a lovely family of six, are black. Will they be safe? God, I hope so. The youngest is only five.
