A red fox ate one of my neighbor’s hens and instead of being upset, she was in awe of its cunningness and ability to circumvent her wire chicken pen. We have one who trots through our yard most mornings hoping to snare an unwary or pokey rodent. You can tell foxes rule in my neighborhood even when they are bad boys.
